IAR Testing Details and Dates
Hill Middle School will be administering the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) test over the next several Mondays for all students. Please see the dates below for specific days your students should attend.
All 6th and 7th grade Hill students will take the IAR at Hill on these Mondays: March 15, April 12, and April 26.
All 8th grade, IEP, 504, and ELL Hill students will test at Hill on these Mondays: March 22, April 19, and May 3.
The ISA (Illinois Science Assessment) will take place on May 10, for all 8th graders only.
There will be no live online classes these Mondays due to IAR and DLM testing. All tests will be in-person from 8:00am - 11:30am. Transportation will be provided for those students that normally take a bus. Please check ParentVue for bus routes. There are no options for testing remotely.
Students will need to come to school with a charged chromebook, headphones or earbuds (for the ELA tests), a book to read, a pencil, and a calculator. Students in 6th and 7th grade can use a 4 function calculator with a square root and percentage function and 8th grade students can use a scientific calculator. There is also a built in calculator on the math tests themselves should a student prefer to use a calculator that way.
We look forward to seeing all of the 6th and 7th graders without IEP, 504, or ELL services on Monday, March 15, at Hill M.S. Testing will begin promptly at 8:00am and finish at 11:30am. Upon arrival, all 6th grade students should report to their 9th period teacher, and all 7th grade students should report to their 4th period teacher.
